Champion Energy; Powering Lives and Businesses in Texas
First licensed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas back in 2004, Champion Energy is a wholly Texas owned and operated provider of electricity based in Houston, Texas. One of the fastest growing providers of retail electricity in the country, they are also the largest provider that has never been affiliated with an electric utility company.
Champion Energy's financial strength comes largely from the backing of owner and entrepreneurial businessman James R. Crane, along with his successful Texas-based company, Crane Capital. Champion's considerable capital resources and access to abundant credit give Champion Energy the financial strength to be able to procure wholesale power more effectively than their competitors, resulting in outstanding price breaks that are then passed on to the customers.
Champion Energy provides electricity to residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers in deregulated electricity markets all over Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio and Maryland, offering exceptionally competitive rates, transparent pricing, straightforward monthly electric bills, live customer service around the clock and customized small business electricity solutions.
Customer Satisfaction Rankings
Champion Energy Services earned the distinction of "Highest in Residential Customer Satisfaction with Retail Electric Service, Three Years in a Row" as a result of the J.D. Power and Associates 2010-2012 Texas Residential Retail Electric Provider Customer Satisfaction Studies. Not only did the company receive the highest numerical score of any residential electric service providers in the State of Texas in the study, but they were the first electric provider to garner this honor for three years in a row, and their 2012 score was 756 out of a possible 1,000 points, the highest on record since the report began.
The 2012 study was based on responses from 7,619 consumers about 21 providers, and measured respondents' overall satisfaction with the services provided by their electric company in four areas: price, payment and billing, customer service and communications.
Giving Back to the Community

Champion Energy Services also provides support to the Houston Astros, Boys & Girls Country, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Friends for Life, Yellowstone Academy, Texas Honor Ride supporting veterans, Assist the Officer Foundation, Asia Society, Young Texans Against Cancer and a number of other local and national organizations.
